Change the Language Settings on your Windows Device

  1. Open the Control Panel
    Windows 7 - Click the Start button, and then click Control Panel.

    Windows 8 - Press the Windows Key ()+ X, and then click Control Panel.
  2. Click Change Display Language.
  3. On the Formats tab, make sure all of the settings resemble the ones in the image below.
  4. On the Location tab, set the current location to United States.
  5. On the Administrative tab, click Change system locale and select English (United States) from the drop-down menu. Click Ok.
  6. Click Apply and OK to apply the language settings changes.
  7.  Reboot the computer to fully apply the changes.
