Guided Access is a feature native to the iPad, released with iOS 6. It allows the user to constrain usage of the device to a single application. This feature must be enabled for students to begin a secure exam and is needed to ensure that no outside applications will be used during the exam. If it is disabled the student will be removed from the exam and a continuation code will be needed to re-enter.
