Disabling Startup Items on Windows Vista & 7

  1. Click on the Windows logo and type "msconfig" in the search box

  2. This will bring up the System Configuration Utility - Click on the Services Tab

  3. At the bottom of tab check the box next to "Hide all Microsoft Services"

  4. Click Disable All
    msconfig.xp.step4
  5. Scroll through the list and look for anything that says wireless. Be sure to check the box next to any wireless related services so you do not disable your Wireless Internet connection.
  6. Click on the Startup Tab
    msconfig.xp.step6
  7. Click Disable All
    msconfig.xp.step7
  8. Click "OK" You will receive a message to restart your computer
    msconfig.xp.step8
  9. Click Restart
