Creating & Editing Content Banks

Learn how to add and edit the basic settings of a new Content Bank such as, name, ID, and permissions.



Only a Bank, Department, or Institution Admin role can create or edit a Content Bank.



  1. Go to the My Content Banks page.
  2. Locate the Content Bank that you want to create a sub-Bank in. 
  3. To add a new Content Bank, select Create A Content Bank near the top right corner of the page. 
  4. To edit the settings for a Bank, select the pencil icon next to the Bank.
  5. You can edit the following course information as needed:
    • Content Bank ID - unique ID for the Bank.The Content Bank ID has a limit of 50 characters.
    • Content Bank Name - provide a descriptive name that will be easily identifiable by exam-makers in your institution. There is no character limit.
    • Content Bank Administrator - choose an admin using one of the following ways:
      1. Search for a content bank admin by entering the name in the box, and then select one from the drop-down list. Repeat this process as needed to add additional names.
      2. Select Browse All, and then search or scroll the list for names. Select the plus icon (+) next to the admin you want to include, and then select Save.
  6. Select Save on the My Content Banks page.
