Manually Upload an Answer File

If Examplify is unable to upload your answer file automatically after an exam, you can upload the file by using the ExamSoft Portal instead.

IMPORTANT

Use the same computer that you used to complete the exam and reach out to your instructor to confirm the Upload Deadline is still open (if applicable).

Procedure

Note: These procedures are for exams taken on Windows or Mac. If you used Examplify for iPad, see: Examplify for iPad: Manually Upload an Answer File

  1. Log in to the ExamSoft Portal for your institution.
  2. In your list of Courses (or the History), select Manual Exam Upload (at the top of the screen).
    • Enterprise Portal: The button is located at the top right.

  4. Navigate to the exam files on your Windows computer or Mac.
The primary location for answers files is the STBackups folder. If someone is unable to locate their answer file in that folder, they should check the AnswerBundle and UploadFailed folders. If, after checking these locations, an exam taker is not able to locate an answer file, they will need to contact support for further assistance.

    For Windows:

Click in the File Explorer address bar, and then enter: C:\ProgramData\Examplify\STBackups

Note: To locate the exam file, look at the folder date \ time, which should correspond to the date \ time that you completed the exam. You should also be able to identify the exam based on the exam name.

    • Example: 195079_Final Exam NUR 425_1670978223804
      • UserId: 195079
      • Exam Name: Final Exam NUR 425
        • Note: Exam names will truncate if too long.
      • Time Stamp: 1670978223804
