Windows 10 Instructions
- Log in to the computer by using an administrator account.
- Select the Windows Start button, and then select Settings.
- Select Accounts.
- Select Family & other users.
- Select the user's name, and then select Change account type.
- Select Administrator, and then select OK.
- Log out.
After the admin logs out, the selected user can log in to the computer and have administrator permissions.
Windows 11 Instructions
- Select the Windows Start button, and then, select Settings.
- Select Accounts.
- Under Family & other users, select the user's name.
- Then, select Change account type.
- Under Account type, select Administrator.
- Select OK.
- Sign in with the new administrator account.
