If you are receiving an error that says The Application’s Service Unavailable or NATIVE-MSG-SRV-UNAVAILABLE on your Mac, follow one of the three solutions below to fix the error.
Troubleshooting steps
- Restart the device. After rebooting, attempt to launch Examplify again.
Note: On slower devices, it might take a minute or two for the application service to start.
- If the operating system is MacOS Ventura or later, you may need to enable the Allow Background Items setting to successfully open Examplify. To check this:
- Select the Apple Icon and navigate to System Settings > General > Login Items.
- Under Allow in the Background, ensure ExamSoft Worldwide, Inc. is enabled.
- Once this setting is enabled, the user should attempt to launch Examplify again.
- Select the Apple Icon and navigate to System Settings > General > Login Items.
- Enter the following commands into Terminal, and then restart the device:
- sudo launchctl unload /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.examsoft.ExamplifyService.plist
- sudo launchctl load -w /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.examsoft.ExamplifyService.plist
