Enterprise Portal: Admin User Permissions

This article describes the permissions for various admin users.

Types of Admin Users

There are four types of admin users:

  • Institution Admins have the highest level of user permissions.  
  • Department Admins have permissions to manage departments and courses. They are automatically assigned to all courses for their assigned departments.
  • Course Admins have permissions for courses and assessments. They are automatically assigned to all assessments for their assigned courses.
  • Assessment Admins have permissions for assessments. They are automatically assigned to all postings for their assigned assessments. 

 

Admin Permissions

In the tables below, you can see which permissions are available to each type of admin user.


Notes:

  • An X in a cell indicates that the user can perform this task.
  • A blank cell indicates that the user cannot perform this task.

Note: The default permissions are shown above. However, when a category type is created or edited, it can be set up so that only certain departments or courses have tagging and editing privileges.
