After an assessment begins, you can view the exam-takers' download/upload history, allow additional downloads, and extend the upload deadline.
Procedures
- Navigate to the Exam-Taker Activity Tab
- Refresh the Page to Show the Latest Information
- Search for an Exam-Taker Based on Download/Upload Status
- View the Download/Upload History
- Allow Additional Downloads
- Remove an Uploaded Answer File
- Extend the Upload Deadline
Navigate to the Exam-Taker Activity Tab
- Select the Assessments menu.
- Find the assessment in the Recently Revised Assessments table, or navigate to the assessment by selecting the folder (on the left side of the page).
- Select the assessment that you want to view.
- Select the Exam-Taker Activity tab (near the top of the page).
Refresh the Page to Show the Latest Information
You can begin reviewing exam-takers' results while the assessment is in progress. To refresh the Exam-Taker Activity page to show the latest information, select the Update button (near the top of the page).
Search for Exam-Takers Based on Download/Upload Status
- Navigate to the Exam-Taker Activity tab.
- Select Advanced Search (above the exam-takers table), and enter your search criteria.
- To find exam-takers who have uploaded their answers: Select Yes for Uploaded Answer.
- To find exam-takers who have downloaded the exam but have not uploaded their answers: Select Yes for Download Assessment, and select No for Uploaded Answer.
- To find exam-takers who have not downloaded the exam: Select No for Download Assessment.
- Select Search.
Note: To clear the search results and view the full exam-taker list, select the Close button (near the top of the search area).
View the Upload and Download History
- Navigate to the Exam-Taker Activity tab.
- View the upload and download history in the First Download, Last D/L, Upload Date, and Imported columns.
Notes:
- If you cannot see the columns, select the gear icon (on the right side of the table). Select Add Columns, and then select the column that you want to add to the table.
- If you want to reorder the columns in the table, position your mouse pointer on the column heading, and then drag the column to the new position.
- In the Imported column, a green checkmark indicates that the file was uploaded successfully.
Allow Additional Downloads for an Exam-Taker
If the Post Settings allow only one download, and an exam-taker needs to download the exam again, you can increase the download limit for that individual.
Note: If you want to modify the Max Downloads for all exam-takers, you can edit the post settings. See the "Extend the Download/Upload Deadlines or Max Downloads for the Assessment" section of this article.
- Navigate to the Exam-Taker Activity tab.
- (Optional) Search for the exam-taker.
- Select the arrow button in the Max D/Ls column.
- In the popup window, enter the number of Max Downloads that you want to allow, and then select Save.
Note: In Examplify, the exam-taker might need to select the Refresh Exam List option (in the lower left corner of the screen) to see the exam on the dashboard.
Remove an Uploaded Answer File
If an exam-taker mistakenly uploaded the exam before completing it, you can delete the previous upload. Then the exam-taker can complete the exam and submit it.
Important: Be very careful when deleting exam uploads. There is no way to restore a deleted upload.
- Navigate to the Exam-Taker Activity tab, and find the exam-taker whose upload you want to delete.
- Select the pencil icon (in the Actions column).
- In the popup window, refer to the StudentID to verify that you have selected the correct exam-taker.
- Select the Remove Upload Record button (the trash can icon).
- Read the confirmation message. This operation cannot be undone.
- If you are sure that you want to remove this upload, select OK.
- To allow the exam-taker to download the exam again, increase the Max D/Ls. See the "Allow Additional Downloads for an Exam-Taker" section of this article.
Extend the Download/Upload Deadlines or Max Downloads for the Assessment
If technical issues affect one or more exam-takers during the scheduled assessment period, you might want to extend the download and/or upload deadlines. You also can edit certain other post settings, including the Max Downloads.
Note: In Examplify, the exam-takers might need to select the Refresh Exam List option (in the lower left corner of the screen) to see the exam on the dashboard.
- Select the assessment. Or, if you were already viewing the Exam-Taker Activity tab for this assessment, select the Contents tab.
- Scroll down to the Postings section (at the bottom of the screen).
- Select the pencil icon (in the Actions column).
- In the popup window, enter the new settings.
- Select Save Post.
