Map: Editing Documents and Mapped Relationships

  • When you need to make changes to your documents, or modify the mapped relationships between two documents, you can follow the steps below. Some examples of changes you might wish to make include:
  1. Adding new courses to your curriculum document
  2. Amending existing learning outcomes in your curriculum document
  3. Removing staff from your staff document
  4. Mapping new courses and learning outcomes to your accreditation standards document
  5. Updating existing mapped relationships between your curriculum and accreditation standards documents
  • If you have added new items to a document, you must remember to map them to your other documents as required. See: Map: Mapping Documents
  • Removing items from a document permanently removes any mapped relationships between those items and other documents. If you subsequently replace the deleted items with new items, you will need to remap them.
Note: Editing an existing item, e.g., amending the text, does not remove its mapped relationships.
  • After you have finished making changes, any new coverage reports you create will reflect your recent updates.

Important: Before you make any major changes to your documents or mapped relationships, ExamSoft highly recommends you create an archive of the existing data in Map so you can refer back to it if necessary. See Map: Managing Archives
