Types of User Accounts
-
Users access Map through the Liftupp Portal.
-
There are three types of user account for Map in the Liftupp Portal:
Super Admin
-
Able to create, edit and delete user accounts, similar to an Institutional Admin in Enterprise Portal and a Key Administrator in Legacy Portal.
-
Unable to access the Map tool.
-
ExamSoft will create a Super Admin account for the individual responsible for administering Map at your institution.
-
The Super Admin will then manage all additional staff accounts. Please reach out to your Super Admin if you require access.
Map Product Admin
-
Can edit the permissions of other Map users, except Super Admins.
-
Able to access the Map tool to create and edit documents manually, map documents, run coverage reports and create archives.
-
Can also upload documents as CSV files when assigned the Mapping-CSV Upload individual permission by the Super Admin.
Map Staff User
-
Able to access the Map tool to create and edit documents manually, map documents, run coverage reports and create archives.
-
Unable to view or edit other Map users.
All three types of user accounts listed above provide the user with edit permissions. It is not currently possible to grant read-only access; therefore, if you don't want a user to have edit permissions, they should not be provided with a user account in the Liftupp Portal. For this reason, ExamSoft recommends restricting user accounts to high-level faculty/admins only.
Notes:
An X in a cell indicates that the user can perform this task.
A blank cell indicates that the user cannot perform this task.
User Account Permissions
You must assign manually the following permission groups and individual permissions to each type of user account.
-
The examples below show how you should assign these permissions for each type of user account in your Liftupp Portal:
Super Admin Permissions
Map Product Admin Permissions
Map Staff User Permissions
Note: If you are a Super Admin and need access to the Map tool, you should assign both the Super Admin and Map Product Admin permission groups to your account.
