Legacy Portal: Admin User Permissions

In this guide, administrators will explore the capabilities and limitations of Key Admins, Full Admins, Restricted Admins, and Non-Admins.

In this guide:

Account Administration Permissions

Full
  • Have Exam-Takers and Admin tab access, but can't edit or even see other Users with admin permissions
  • Can create new users, but can only give new users restricted admin permissions
  • Can't key on features
  • Can clear uploads for exams in folders they have permissions for
Restricted
  • Users will have identical permissions as users with "full" except they will not be able to create or edit Users
  • Restricted users can view non-admins
Key Admin

Only one Key Admin per database.

This user can:

  • Create and edit all other Users in the database
  • Can delete, inactivate, and activate other Users
  • Can turn features off and on in Global Settings

Other Permissions Definitions

  • Hide ET Identity: Hides the exam-taker’s identity from choice users (restricted or non-admin users) when printing essay responses or running reports.
  • DL/ UL History Only (Proctors): Grants users who do not have at least “track” assessment permissions, the ability to monitor exam-taker downloads and uploads within the Exam-Taker Activity Tab.
  • Suppress Accommodation Info: Hides the accommodation column on the Exam-Taker’s Management page.
  • Send UL Confirmations: Initiates upload notification emails to be sent each time an exam-taker uploads.
  • Send Data Import Confirmations: Sends emails confirming whether the list of students and courses imported successfully.
  • Print All Exams Using Print X: Allows user to download and login to Print X to print assessments.
