PrintX: Use ExamNumbers

Scenario #1: My school assigns an Anonymous Grading Number to our students at the start of each term, and that number remains the same for all exams during the term.

With this approach, the administrators must import the list of exam numbers that will be associated with each Student ID before the exam-takers register Examplify. If this is not completed, PrintX will throw a "?" next to the Student ID and will not display an ID on the printout.

Scenario #2: My school assigns an Anonymous Grading Number to our students at the start of each term and then requires them to be identified by their seat number during the exam, which could be different for each exam (double-blind grading).

With this approach, the administrators must import the list of exam numbers that will be associated with each Student ID before the exam day(s). After the exam numbers are imported, the exam-takers must log out and then log back in to Examplify.

Note: This approach leaves room for typos. Exam-takers could mistakenly enter their passwords within the field instead of their seat numbers. The number that the exam-takers type will appear on the printout from PrintX.

Scenario #3: My school assigns an Anonymous Grading Number to our students for midterms, and a different Anonymous Grading Number for finals.

With this approach, the administrators must import the exam numbers on two occasions. The first time will be well in advance of the midterm exam, and the second time will be well in advance of the final exam. In both instances, these numbers must be applied before the exam-takers download the exams. In order to see the exam numbers for the second instance, the exam-takers must log out and log back into Examplify.

If the most recent Exam Number list has been imported and you do not see the updated numbers in PrintX, open PrintX and select File > Synchronize Exam Number List to ensure that the most recent data is there.

Alternatively, administrators may follow the steps for Scenario #2 listed above. Using this method, the exam-takers must type in their midterm or final exam ID's at the time of the exam.
