Exam-Taker Quick Start Guide

Activate Your Account and Set Up Your Preferences

1. Log in to your institution's exam-taker portal.
   • If you received an invitation via email: Select the button in the email to go to your institution's exam-taker portal. Follow the on-screen prompts to enter your password.

     

   • If you did not receive an invitation or lost it: Go to examsoft.com, and then select the Student/ExamTaker link. Then enter your institution ID. Follow the on-screen prompts to enter your password.

     

2. Enter other settings for your account.

   The steps vary depending on which version of the portal you are using. Refer to the screen shots below to recognize your portal and enter the settings.

   If your screen is similar to this one:	Do this:
   Enterprise Portal Tip: For a larger version of the image, right-click it and then open it in a new tab.	Select the icon near the top right corner of the screen. Select My Profile. Enter these settings on the My Profile screen: Time Zone: Enter your time zone, if different from what is shown. Entering your time zone here ensures that the reminders and deadlines are shown in your local time zone. Email preferences: If you want to receive emails that your exam-manager sends or that the system sends (after exam completion, for example) select the checkbox.  Select Save (on the right side of the screen).
   Legacy Portal Tip: For a larger version of the image, right-click it and then open it in a new tab.	Scroll down so that you can see the Setup Your Notifications section (on the left side of the screen). If you want to receive text messages, enter your Cell Phone Number and Carrier, and then select Save. If you need to change the email address where you will see notifications, enter it in the Email box and then select Save.

Install Examplify

1. Make sure that your device meets the requirements. See: Examplify Minimum System Requirements

2. Log in to the exam-taker portal, and then select the Download button.
3. Run the installer file to install Examplify.
4. When the installation is finished, start Examplify, enter your institution ID, and then log in.

   Notes:

   • Examplify performs certain checks when you start Examplify and when you attempt to download an exam. If you see messages about Minimum System Requirements, review the on-screen information. Depending on the issues, you might be able to Continue with the exam (although device updates are recommended), or you might see only the Return to Dashboard option (meaning that you cannot use this device without updating it to meet the requirements). Well before your first exam or mock exam, take a little time to get familiar with Examplify.

Take Your Exam

View Your Exam Results

After the results are released, you can view them in the ExamSoft Portal.

1. Log in to the ExamSoft portal.
2. Navigate to the course.
3. Locate the assessment.
4. Select the View Results button.
