Enterprise Portal: Question Notes

A Question Note is an internal comment linked to a specific question, used to capture key information, feedback, or remarks for internal use only. It's beneficial in formal question review processes or for meeting accreditation requirements.

Creating or editing a Note is available for users in the role of Restricted Content Bank User, Course Admin, or above, with access to preview a question.

Add a New Note

  1. Open the Notes section on an existing question
  2. If you are on the course page, select the Questions tab.
  3. Select the Question Title of the question where you want to create the note.
  4. If you are creating or editing an assessment, on the Build Assessment tab, select the Question Title of the question where you want to create the Note.
  5. Expand the Notes section by clicking on the arrow next to the word “Notes” at the top of the page.

  6. Type your note(s) into the text box.
  7. Select the ADD NOTE button to save your message.

    Question Notes are independent of a question’s version. All notes will be available regardless of which version of a question you are viewing.

    • The saved note will appear above the text box, in chronological order, with any other Notes already saved.

Edit a Question Note

  1. With the Notes section open, select the EDIT option below the note that you would like to edit.

    You can only edit and delete a note that you created.

  2. Edit the text of the note.
  3. Selecting the CANCEL button will close the input field without saving any changes.
  4. Select the SAVE NOTE button to save the changes.

    The edited notes will remain in the same order as it was before (the notes are sorted by the date they were created).

Delete a Question Note

  1. With the Notes section open, select the DELETE option below the note that you would like to remove.

    You can only edit and delete notes that you created.

  2. The note will be deleted, and a confirmation message will display.
